I’m thrilled to be part of the team here at Mixed Pet Veterinary Hospital! I joined in January 2025 and couldn’t be more excited to get to know you and your pets. Originally from Northern Kentucky, I’ve always had a deep love for animals. This, along with my passion for puzzles and problem-solving naturally led me to veterinary medicine.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Over the years, I’ve worked in both general practice and an emergency and referral setting, which has given me experience handling a wide range of cases. I’m Fear Free Certified, trained in veterinary dentistry, and a proud member of AVMA and NCVMA.
My professional interests include preventative care, chronic disease management, and dental health, including cleanings and extractions. I also enjoy nutrition counseling and using Fear Free techniques to ensure pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits. I especially love working with pet parents to manage chronic conditions like allergies, ear infections, diabetes, and thyroid disorders.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom and enjoy gardening, traveling, and finding new fancy restaurants to try. At home, I have two wonderful dogs, Domino and Cable, who keep me on my toes. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members—partnering with you to keep them happy and healthy is what I love most!

Excellent experience! Even though it was our first time at this office I truly felt like Dr. Schoolmeester loved and cared for my dog. He answered my questions thoroughly and to my satisfaction that I actually think I learned something about what's been ailing my fur-child. So happy to have been referred into this practice. I highly recommend them!

I took Bishop to his first appointment and it was a success! Staff was really friendly and patient as well as Dr. Schoolmeester's expertise! Baby Bishop has a new Vet!

We love Mixed Pet Veterinary Hospital. It’s bit pricey and we travel a distance but we love all of the staff. Muffin is treated like he’s their own! That matters and we love that!! Mixed Pet Veterinary is worth the sacrifice for our little Muffin!!!! ❤️ Oh!! and I can talk to Dr. Schoolmeester all day. He so reminds me of Richard Dreyfuss 🤣 (in a good way).

We have been taking our cats to Mixed Pet for over 20 years. Dr. Schoolmeester and his staff have always had our pets health in their best interest. I have ALWAYS felt comfortable taking my pets there because the staff is AWESOME and there is no other place I would rather have them taken care off. Mixed Pet has to be IMHO...best veterinarian EVER!
